Butterflies

Our neighbors raised some butterflies from caterpillars and then let them go the other day. They invited our kids to come and watch. I thought the butterflies would just fly away as soon as the lid was lifted but they were so tame that the kids were able to hold them. They were amazing!

My smart husband

I just wanted to tell Todd's big news. He was just awarded a fellowship from The Bancroft Library at UC Berkley. For those of you non-scholar types (like me), a fellowship is like a scholarship but they just give you the money and let you spend it on your research, however you choose. It's a very prestigious award. I'm so proud of him. He is so dedicated. This does mean we may be moving back to San Diego come this Fall so he can focus on finishing his dissertation and receive his Ph D. I'll keep you all updated on our plans!

The Big Ski Day

My mom, Hayley and I took the kids up to Sundance for a fun filled ski day. I, of course, stayed at the bottom with Fisher and Millie. I can barely walk without falling, let alone ski. We all had a great time. The kids did great! The first time I watched Lucy come racing down the hill I freaked out. I started screaming because I thought for sure she was going to crash but I guess she must have got her mom and dad's natural ability because she did just fine.

Easter

We had a great Easter. It was finally a sunny warm day. Jeremy and Hayley blessed Fisher. Jer did a great job! We did a traditional egg hunt and clearly the kids had fun.

The Kids

These are my sister Hayley's kids. I love them so much. I just had to tell some of the funny things they say. Lucy is 4, Millie is 2 and Fisher is 7 months. My other sister, Emily, is also pregnant. She is due 1 week after me. Every time Millie sees us she asks "Where's yo baby?".

The other day Emily pointed at her stomach and answered "In my belly". Mille looked at her with big eyes and said "Did you eat yo baby?". Then Lucy asked if Emily's belly was going to crack open like an egg and the baby was going to pop out. Lucy has also chosen her favorite names for my baby and Emily's. They are Strawberry Shortcake and Tarzan. They are so funny! Little kids are the best!

Shutterfly

Those of you who know me well know that I hate scrapbooking! Sorry to offend! I have tried and tried to like it but I just don't. My mother-in-law made Ashton an amazing book, about her baptism, on the computer. She used a company called Shutterfly. The book is so neat, we all just love it. Maybe I'm the last to know about this but I think it's great for those of us non-scrapbookers!
