Cousins

The Anderson's came to California on vacation. We met them for a swim at their hotel. Lola and Olivia had so much fun splashing each other. I'm in love with little Olivia! She's adorable!
The older kids had a much "wilder" time.
It's always fun to see family and it's amazing that the kids just pick up right where they left off and have a blast together.

The Welkers come to town

The Welkers came to visit for a few days. I was so excited to take Lola to the zoo for the first time. I envisioned all the wonderful pictures I would take. But picture after picture came back blurry and in my ignorance I could not figure out what was wrong. Finally, at the end of the day, I looked at the lens and saw it was covered in sticky little fingerprints. Oops! So here are the best of the worst!

Lola loved the skytram.

My cute baby seals.

It wouldn't be a visit from the Welkers without a trip to Disneyland. I think I have more pictures of Lola on this carousel than any other spot in the world! We had a great time.

Tattooed Lady

I hope this is not an indication of Lola's future!

Quick trip

Todd had an interview in Salt Lake (keep your fingers crossed) and so we made a last minute trip to Utah for Easter weekend. The kids couldn't have been happier. We're grateful for Hayley and Grandma Cheryl who are always ultra-prepared. We didn't miss a beat and had about a bazillion eggs!

Easter eggstravaganza!

Because of all the snow, we had our egg hunt inside.

We let "the babies" go first while we tortured the big kids and made them stand in the doorway and wait
They were off to a running start!

Lola learned pretty quickly how to climb over, under and in between to find the best eggs!

The kids, of course, got way too much!

We never take pictures together. In fact, is mom ever in any pictures?

Peep Nests

We celebrated Easter with our favorite tradition. We made Peeps nest just like I did as a child and just like Grandma Cheryl did as a child.

April fools

On Easter we woke up to a not so funny joke......8 inches of snow!
