My baby the genius

I keep telling Todd that Lola is a genius. She is only 3 months and can already roll both ways from her back-to-stomach and stomach-to-back. She is growing way to fast.To be honest, I just want her to stay tiny. I love having a baby!

Fun in the sun

We recently spent a week in Arizona visiting Todd's family. We had a blast! The kids loved swimming at the pool and grandma and grandpa loved being with the kids.

We celebrated Kristi's 35th birthday.
The kids loved Uncle Steve's Rhino.

The 4 generations: Grandpa Rick, Grandma Linda, Great-Granny Helen, Lola and Todd.
Granny Helen and the sweet little cousins.

We went to Amazing Jakes to escape the heat.
Todd and Kye loved the games.
Kye takes his video games very seriously.

Girls Night

My friend Amy came to visit from Virginia and so we had to have a girls night out! We went to Park City and shopped 'til we dropped! We closed the shops down and then went out for some yummy mexican food. I love being with my high school friends it makes me feel 16 again. I'm so glad we've remained so close. We've all changed so much yet remained the same. Tracy was the goth, think purple hair and choker necklace. Sonja was best dressed, she had more Girbaud jeans than the rest of us combined. Amy was the tough rebel chick. Now, she's the sweetest girl you have ever met! Angie was and still is the life of the party. Steph was Cindy Mancini (Can't Buy Me Love) white leather dress and all. Brittney was the cool girl from the big city of Orem. Being from Payson we all thought Orem was a BIG city! I was the party planner and still am. I love these girls!

Forever Family

My sister Hayley and her family were sealed in the Manti Temple last week. It was such a special day! I am so happy for them. When her daughter Lucy came in to the sealing room she did a little curtsy in her white dress, it was so cute! I love the Manti Temple. It's where Todd and I were married so I love to go back and visit. It rained that day and only added to the beauty of the temple.

A name and a blessing

On Sunday we blessed our sweet little Lola Jean. Todd did a wonderful job and she didn't even cry. She was named after his great-grandma Sarah Lola Carnes and my grandma Mary Jean Brown.

My sisiter Hayley and I tried to do some "professional" photos. She has a nice camera but I think we need to work on lighting and technique.
I love this dress! I looked and looked and felt more and more confused with each dress I saw until I saw this one. It is raw silk and reminds me of my wedding dress. We drove up to Salt lake to a baby boutique to buy it after I'd seen it on their website. When we got there they were out of the dress! Luckily, as we were driving home we passed another store and I decided just to check and see what they had. I never imagined they would have the exact dress but I walked in and there it was! It was meant to be!

We had lots of food and family join us for a brunch afterwards.

This is Lola and her great-grandparents Doug and Shirley Smith and Mary Jean Brown and her husband Bud Nielson.

We were blessed to have a lot of my family join us for the special day. Unfortunately Todd's family could not make it but we are looking forward to a trip to Arizona to see them next week.

Matchmaker

I have always loved to play matchmaker and set people up on dates and finally one of my matches worked out! I set up my beautiful single mom neighbor,Dayna, with Justin, my brother-in-law Jeremy's brother. Justin is the nicest guy I know (next to Todd of course). They dated for just over a year and just got married n Friday. I'm so happy for them and wish them the best!

My dad is a Bishop and he did a great job performing the wedding.
They got married at a home up Hobble Creek Canyon. It was absolutely beautiful and even had a pond. Jeremy just happened to have a fishing pole.
Lucy's big catch!
Jer is the funnest Uncle!

My handsome husband and beautiful baby.

The big 30

All the kids got in on blowing out the candles!
The proud papas!
We helped my little sister Hayley celebrate her birthday this week. She's 30! That means I must be really old considering she's my "little" sister. She has packed ALOT into those 30 years. She's lived in many exciting places including Alaska and Hawaii. She had 3 kids in 3 &1/2 years and still manages to run triathalons. I could go on and on but instead I'll just say I'm so grateful to have such great sisters in my life!
